Working Maid's Uniforms

Nice options. Would love something like this to work in. However only shipping to the US.

Anyone know of something similar that ships to other countries (Canada)?

Yes, they are not cheap, but it is of excellent quality! I love it.

It certainly was an experience ordering the dress. I communicated with Ina and she indicated that only a few of the pink stripe Annalisa dresses are left. They might be replenished but only based on future customer requests.

With the help of Google translate, Ina was able to communicate with me in English. I phoned her once and though her English is very rudimentary (my Italian is practically non-existent) we were able move the process further along.

At first, she wanted my passport information. It seems in Italy, they need that type of information to stop fraudulent declaration of invoices. I was not comfortable sending that information over email, and she was not comfortable doing it over the phone. Ina found an alternative, which was a form that would include name, address, birth date and birth place. I asked if I could fax the information, but their fax number is no longer in service. Their web site does not have encryption either. We ended up speaking on the phone so she could fill in the form. Then I had to go to the bank to do a wire transfer.

In the end, it was worth it. I did get to wear it once, after it arrived, to make sure it fit, and I asked my wife to take a picture of me in it. She will be making it my Christmas gift, given how much it cost. I am really looking forward to wearing it to serve her.

A few weeks ago, we ordered a few Janice C. Parker books and are currently reading from My Husband Is My Sissy Maid for about 5 minutes most evenings before we go to sleep. It looks like I will have more opportunity in the near future to wear my serving dresses in service of her.

The journey has been long and it has taken persistence, communication, learning, understanding, figuring out what works, learning how to be ok with what doesn't, more communication, less communication and dedication to each other's satisfaction in life and our relationship together. We are in a very good place at the moment. It is very helpful to have a web site like this to help me grow in my understanding of myself as well as understanding the impacts and possible responses from my wife. Thank you all for your input here.

When you see the costs involved in the "French Maid" type uniforms where the prices frequently reach £100 and more, it doesn't make sense if you are actually going to be doing more than just flit around with a feather duster and maybe run the Hoover over a few carpets.  Even going on to websites such as "Alexandra Workwear", you can expect to pay £24-£25 minimum for Housekeeper type uniforms, which is still a lot for a working dress which will no doubt take a hammering if you really get down and dirty when cleaning house.  I have gone on to E-Bay and Amazon and bought brand new Housekeeper uniforms for a fraction of this price and have been able to enjoy the robust quality of "Alexandra" products without breaking the bank.  Added bonus is that these dresses look so very smart and leave you in no doubt as to your position in the house.  I have included a link to one of these offers as an example -

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Light-blue-un...rk:20:pf:0

As I near retiral age and my wife seems to have a renewed interest in having a maid keeping house for her, I am sure that a few of these offers will make their way in my direction.  I do have a "French Maid" type uniform, but, I believe that my wife intends to use that as a "reward" for me, for "above expected" performance.  I also have a "Downton Abbey" uniform, which is my favourite but this is only for serving or assisting dressing etc as it is far too good for cleaning in (It is actually a theatrical costume, which was bought on E-Bay for £30.00 and is of "exceptional quality and condition").  So there it is - You don't have to pay a fortune to dress accordingly and "real" uniforms are so much better value than frilly, light, frequently average quality uniforms.  I also feel the real uniform actually a more practical design, if you want to be the "real deal" and be a "proper maid".

Just MHO.

The ebay uniform is quite practical and perfect for household chores...You're going to be hoovering, dusting, ironing, mopping, making beds etc...you don't need anything fancy or frilly for real work...just a well pressed, clean, neatly presented domestic uniform with an appropriate apron...perfect!

Because of my order, I just received an email from what appears to be an updated version of this company, Dinetra (https://dinetra.com/product-category/hotel/donna-hotel/).

I love the electric blue and plum coloured uniforms.
