Signs of Progress: Nappy Changing Facilities
#1
Wishful thinking I know, but with society heading to a more liberal and accepting place, and nappy wearing by males hopefully becoming more commonplace, I for one am looking forward to a day when signs like these might become the norm.

I often notice that toilet facilities are three separate room; Ladies Gents & Baby Change. This would seem to be a needless duplication of space and rather wasteful.

I would envision a time when public conveniences might be amalgamated into a single roomed facility, with cubicles for use of our betters, and a more sturdy table or two for nappy changing.

This would seem to me to be a far better use of space. I don’t really see the need for any other facilities. And what a nicer place the world would be, if our betters were the only ones afforded with privacy, whilst we have ourselves changed and other natural needs taken care of, without the affront of assuming privacy is an option for us.

For larger public conveniences with multiple changing tables, it would also provide opportunities for mothers and wives to share rearing tips, compare effectiveness of nappy brands, and exchange stories, successes and shameful behaviours of the males they change, clean, and reward in the same room together. This could be a lovely humbling experience for males I think.

The public convenience sign on the door might display the usual dressed female, with a nappied male.

These are the things that occupy the mind of a sissy like me. I’d be super interested to hear other people’s opinions on what they think the future might hold for how public conveniences might work. Would it be a unisex single convenience like the one I’ve described? Or do you think such things might be quite different?

I understand that not all of us imagine a future that involves typical nappying and diapering of males. But even so, would we think it’s appropriate to continue to provide males with a private facility of their own, particularly knowing the naughty behaviours males are prone to get up to together when unsupervised?

*shudders* My goodness that's a vivid image!

As someone who has subject to nappy punishment during my petticoating, it still makes me cringe to think of being in nappies. However I will concede that they are an extremely effective behaviour modification tool (I suspect my petticoating would not have been as effective if it had been dresses and knickers only) and that they do seem to bring particular amusement to females. I know my own sisters/cousins found it extremely funny to see me in nappies, even when petticoating had been second nature to us all for years.

I think your idea of the ladies having a good gossip and natter as they change the nappies on their respective males is probably accurate. Imagine the look of embarrassment/pity that the males would share if they happened to look to the side and catch each other's eyes. That feeling of amusement/shame looking at the other diapered male with his legs in the air, having the comically bulky nappy pulled into place - all while knowing that's exactly how you look too  Big Grin Big Grin Blush Blush

What a through provoking post. As I think most of us do, I too look forward to the more open society, as unflinching in its approach to gender exploration and adult babies as we are on here. That society seems already to be on its way.

I read a lot on here about males who enjoy wearing nappies but also an unfortunate amount on such topics that result in the poster being left with a feeling of embarrassment and as an end result, your vision would do a great deal to change this.

While I don’t get as enthusiastic about nappies as some on this forum, it did nevertheless form a major part of my childhood and remains a tool that I use for practical reasons for relieving myself in circumstances where other mortals would likely face difficulties so I think I too would benefit from this future societal model.

With the virus lockdown and so many public toilets being closed . I have seen older children in nappies rather than letting them use the public toilets that are open .

Exactly this, Bill and I have partaken in such an approach both voluntarily and at the behest of my mother.

I wear nappies on many long haul flights and whilst I was never a big fan of cabin lavatorial hygiene, the virus has just given me one more reason to avoid them.

Similarly, when I was staying with mother over lockdown, we used nappies rather than the toilet due to fears our mother had about the risks of cross contamination in the bathroom.

All things considered, in the age we now live it sounds like practical parenting indeed.

I think it will take far longer for the general public to accept such a minority fetish (as all ours on this forum are) and could there ever be justification for the expense and effort involved to offer such services? In most high streets all over the country they can barely keep a public toilet open "due of a lack of resources", so what chance this specialist set up? And can you imagine the opportunity for mindless vandals to destroy such places? They're bad enough in standard toilets.

Not wanting to spoil your dreams, but I really can't see this happening any time soon, sadly.

TBF, there are places that have baby changing facilities within male or female toilets already (particularly in locations with changing rooms that are already quite large to begin with). I suppose in theory there is nothing to prevent an adult that is so inclined from using such facilities for themselves.

In terms of public acceptance, I think the general view towards men dressed as women can be used as a guide as to where we are at with regard the general view towards adult babies as true acceptance of the former would seem to be closer than the latter and probably WILL be seen to much greater extent in my own lifetime if not necessarily that of all the posters on here. While I endeavour in aspects of both, I have gone to much greater lengths than most to be convincing as a woman and my nappy wearing remains (as far as I can tell) mostly hidden from the public.
