Dear Auntie Helga,

I am an adult male who is a retired professional person who suffers from infantilism otherwise known as the adult baby syndrome. It is a very difficult matter to talk about and I don't know what the cause of it is but I regularly attend an adult baby nursery where I am treated as a new born baby girl by an experienced adult baby nanny. Its expensive but I find that's the only way I can cope with this condition and lead a normal life otherwise.

I think one of the reasons why I need to visit the nursery is that my job was very stressful and I can totally relax when Nanny removes all my adult clothes and prepares me for babyhood. When I am taken to her nursery I feel that I am doing the right thing to keep myself in the right frame of mind. When I am placed on the changing table and she tickles my lips with my new born dummy. I totally melt.

I suck on my dummy automatically while she puts my nappy on followed by a pair of plastic pants, frilly pink dress, matching bonnet, mittens, bootees and bib. She attaches the dummy to a dummy holder clipped to my bib so that any visitors to the nursery can see I am dummy dependent. To make my situation totally realistic , Nanny bottle feeds me with a new born baby formula milk every 4 hours soI naturally wet my nappy.

Its difficult to explain my situation but I have to admit that it helps me and I am grateful that it your magazine recognises these issues and that there are women who are Adult Baby Nannies out there to help people like myself.

Thank You,

Thank you for your letter Richard. Thank you for writing and for sharing your experience as an adult baby coming to terms with your syndrome, so good that you are able to find such professional assistance.

Auntie Helga
