It is with great sadness I report the passing of my dear friend Petter Farrer, born on the 20th of May, 1926 he passed away February 10, 2017 at the age of 90. A long time personal friend, we shared the love of old literature that featured authentic letters of Petticoat Punishment. His depth of knowledge on this subject was extensive and he shared this willingly with the readers of PDQ since its inception. Through his books he became the de facto archivist on this subject and through his work influenced and inspired countless others to use this knowledge to the benefit of boys and men everywhere. His persistent search for authentic examples provides us today with a look at the very origins of petticoating in modern times. As far back as the late 1800's, the authentic details he found speak to us through his many books.
A look through our own archives lists the many letters that he was so generous to share. I hope that his works will live on, he certainly will in my own heart and I will miss him terribly.
